It's finished! I started a quilt last summer to donate to my daughter's senior class fundraiser auction. The auction will be held February 21, at Georgia Cumberland Academy. Shaila created the overall design, collected paper hand print patterns from all her classmates, and then embroidered their initials on the cloth hands. The construction was my lot - 430 fingers to zigzag on the borders besides the assembly and quilting of the blocks in the main body! The quilt is queen size, made with high loft poly-fil for warmth and volume. It has been fun to make and we are pleased with the outcome. I am told the bidding will start at $350.
Wow! amazing perseverance :) That is a lot of fingers! It looks great! Thanks for posting pictures so I could see it! Love you lots! hugs for everybody there!
